Founder of The Victorian Tennis Academy in 1988 Richard is a Tennis Australia Master Club Professional, holder of a Degree in Physical Education and has a Diploma from Vic Braden Tennis Academy USA.
Former National Open 800 metre finalist, silver medallist in 800 / 1550 Australian Junior Titles and first Queenslander to run inside 4 minutes for 1500 while still a junior. Early career included teaching at Caulfield Grammar and Scotch College and 4 years in real estate industry. Board member for 3 years Tennis Coaches Australia Victoria.

Tina is The General Manager at The Victorian Tennis Academy and has worked here for 18 years; she brings a wealth of experience as a player and as a coach. During her playing days she was coached by Roger Taylor and travelled throughout Europe competing at Satellite and WTA events. She is a qualified Tennis Australia Club Coach, LTA Performance Coach and holds a Higher National Diploma in Sport with Business Management. Based at The Malvern Tennis Centre Tina continues to engage, develop and inspire people through tennis.

Bronte is The Victorian Tennis Academy’s Schools Manager and is Head Coach at Loreto Mandeville Toorak and Lauriston Girls School. She is a Tennis Australia Junior Development Coach, holds a Level 2 LTA Coaching Qualification and has a degree in Physical Geography with Business and Accounting. Her passion is ‘Girls Tennis’ and she is the driving force with girls programs through The Girls Tennis Network, Miss Hits, Kinder Tennis and Tennis in Schools.
Daniel grew up playing tennis on the Mornington Peninsula competing for his local club where he got his first part time coaching job in year 10 after school hours. He is a Tennis Australia Club Professional qualified coach with over 10 years experience and 7 with the Victorian Tennis Academy. He specialises in technical analysis and tactical fundamentals in particular with private lessons, he also has a background in personal training.
Jason is a senior coach at the Victorian Tennis Academy and has worked here for 6 years. He has 14 years overall experience coaching all levels of students from prep to tournament players. He is a qualified Tennis Australia Club Professional Coach and has passion for seeking ongoing education, and has benefited from learning from some of the industries most accomplished High-Performance coaches both in Australia and overseas. Based at the Malvern Tennis Centre Jason continues to incorporate a “what’s best for the student’s development” philosophy into his coaching.
Joining the Victorian Tennis Academy in 2017, Alana brings 9 years of coaching experience and is a Level 3 LTA Qualified Coach. Representing Warwickshire county and National teams she has competed throughout the UK in tournaments. Alana hold a Higher National Diploma in Sports and Exercise Science and has a passion for developing players through Tennis Australia’s coloured ball pathway.
Ciara has joined the Victorian Tennis Academy from Inspire2Coach in the UK, where she was head coach at Nuneaton Lawn Tennis Club. She is a Level 3 LTA Coach and has 9 years experience working with children and adults of all standards. Representing Warwickshire at County Tennis Ciara brings plenty of passion and experience to the VTA team
Scott has been a member of the Victorian Tennis Academy team since 2015 and has gained valuable experience working alongside a quality group of coaches. As a high school student, he was a member of the Firsts Tennis team at St. Kevin’s and has experience playing in Kooyong’s high-level Pennant teams. Now in his fourth year of coaching, he is a qualified Tennis Australia Junior Development Coach and holds a Certificate III in Sports Coaching, alongside a valid First Aid Certificate. He is currently undertaking an Arts/Law degree at Deakin University and is passionate about becoming a lawyer. Scott brings a fun, engaging and enthusiastic approach to the sport in order to inspire clients of the beauty of tennis as a social, but also competitive sport.
Jon has 5 years of coaching experience, coaching all levels of players from academy (national) players to development/beginner players. From the UK Jon has played tennis since the age of 6; he is a LTA level 3 coach and holds a level 3 strength and conditioning certificate. At Jon’s last club he ran the strength and conditioning programs along with the coach development programs.
Francesca has been a member of the Victorian Tennis Academy team for the past 12 months and has had a lifelong involvement in tennis. She attended Loreto Mandeville Hall Toorak and represented the school in GSV Tennis, Badminton, Waterpolo, Rowing, and Swimming. She is currently the coach of the Loreto Toorak GSV Tennis and Badminton team. Francesca spent 4 years of her childhood living in Florida and has regularly attended each of the Grand Slams. She is currently studying a double degree of Law (honours) and Arts at Monash University. She is a fully qualified lifeguard and has successfully completed her Provide First Aid course.
